We take care to use reliable hardware that will recover quickly if any problems occur. In addition, we make use of three system administrators who proactively work to remove potential problems and who provide around the clock service and emergency response.
We use a private cloud, and we are proud to have a very hands-on approach to helping clients. We are programmers and system administrators: we do not mind making small changes or fixes if you need them done.
While we use scripts to make system administration faster and more reliable, we shun the idea of making this a self-serve server, as we feel that having live technicians available is far more helpful and avoids problems in the long run. In addition, we do not need to have very many clients on each cloud, which means that the server will be faster, have more reliable backups, and fewer problems related to overburdened resources.
And we can get to know everyone who is using the cloud in order to ensure that they are well served, and that the interests of all users are taken into account.
Terms and Conditions
Unfortunately we cannot provide service to every potential client. Clients go through a pre-screening process before they are approved. In particular, we try to avoid problematic accounts, such as those associated with extremely high bandwidth utilization, email service interruptions, or illegal activities. In practical terms, this means NO PORN, NO SPAMMING (sending of unsolicited commercial email, or using our server as a site to which spam links...), and NO ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES. If, upon review, an account is deemed to be disruptive to other clients, or to us as a company, we will make efforts to negotiate a solution, but as a last resort we may require that the account be closed.
Full terms of any contractual agreement are available offline. In case there's any misunderstanding, absent a contract which states specifically that you may use our server, and which outlines performance expectations clearly, you can have NO EXPECTATIONS of service. We may respond to your requests, but are not under any obligation to do so, and by using our services you acknowledge this and will hold us harmless in any damages that may come to you as a result.
